The Legal Situation

Fly Screens may be a legal requirement for hygiene in food preparation areas. The Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995 state :

“windows and other openings must be constructed to prevent the accumulation of dirt. Those which can be opened to the outside environment must where necessary be fitted with insect-proof screens which can be easily removed for cleaning.”

The Products We Supply

Our fly screen systems are tried and tested. They are used extensively in commercial kitchens and food preparation areas, and also in customers' homes. We have products suited to all types of doors and windows.

Most of our products are easily removable, so can be taken down and stored when they are not required. We also install roller screens, which retract discreetly into their own cassette.

The products require a minimum of maintenance. The screens can easily be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner. In the unlikely event of the mesh being damaged, the mesh on our rigid-framed products can easily be replaced by anyone with DIY skills.

There is little, if any, reduction in light coming into the room with our mesh, which also gives excellent outward visibility.
